Foundations In Acting

Foundations in Acting is for anyone at any level of training who wishes to build their craft as an actor.  It’s for the seasoned performer who would like to hone their audition monologue, and also the beginner who is just learning the basics of character development.  Each student is

invited to bring in material they’d like to work on, such as a monologue, scene, or commercial copy, on which they can receive feedback and refine their performance.  Whether you’ve never studied acting before, or have worked extensively in the field, this is a unique opportunity to work with an industry professional who’s invested in helping each artist reach their full potential!

Meet Your Instructor:

Patricia Mauceri

Patricia Mauceri was trained at The Juilliard School during the Drama Division’s early years alongside such actors as Patti LuPone, Kevin Kline and Kelsey Grammer. She has been blessed to work as a performer for over 35 years, appearing on Broadway in The National Health replacingRita Moreno, in Othello with James Earl Jones and Christopher Plummer, and in Death And The Maiden as Paulina with Richard Dreyfuss and Gene Hackman; in films such as Die Hard With A Vengance, Don Juan De Marco, Don’t Say A Word, Freedomland and Boss Of Bosses. She has enjoyed performing in numerous television episodes such as Law & Order, Sopranos, and Royal Pains, and is most known for her role as Carlotta Vega, which she portrayed on ABC’s One Life To Live for 14 years.
